Agriculture Experts Welcome Residents to Experience the Unique Residential Farm Concept
Goose Creek, S.C. [May 2025] – Farm-to-table is now a reality for the Carnes Crossroads residents, as the growing Goose Creek community recently launched its Agrihood concept for residents to use and for the public to tour. Developers of Carnes Crossroads welcomed more than 3,000 residents to celebrate the grand opening of the largest Agrihood in South Carolina. Carnes Crossroads sets a new trajectory in sustainable living, hoping to educate and inspire residents about the importance of supporting agricultural practices and how that benefits the overall South Carolina economy.
The exciting preview included a tour of the working farm, the farm store, and the children’s garden where residents can actively engage in produce production and purchase local foods within walking distance from their homes. The other new amenities offered to residents include a resort-style pool and water slide, a community clubhouse, a 9-mile trail system and a modern wellness center and sports court.

Carnes Crossroads Farm Director Christopher Burtt leads the working farm. He has over a decade of experience in the horticulture industry. Under his leadership, Burtt provides a hands-on experience for residents to understand the importance of growing their food and how that creates a healthy living experience.
