Our vision for the Agrihood will soon be realized. This spring, Carnes Crossroads will embody a farm-to-table lifestyle that celebrates a healthy way of life when our Agrihood amenities open. Those amenities — The Farm and Farm Store, Lakehouse, Wellness Center, Pool and Slide Tower, sports courts, playground and play fields –– will soon be open and bloom for everyone’s enjoyment.

It’s All Coming To Fruition

The Agrihood will soon enrich every aspect of life at Carnes Crossroads. Central to it all, The Farm is where fresh produce will be harvested for residents to enjoy through a convenient Farm Share program. A charming barn will house the Farm Store, offering  farm-fresh produce and locally crafted goods like honey, candles, and cheeses.

The Lakehouse will be the social hub of the community, offering gathering spaces, coffee meetups, and lifestyle events curated by our national award-winning Lifestyle Director, Haiven. Just outside, residents will be able to enjoy the resort-style pool and thrilling water slide tower, which will overlook Lake Hewitt, blending natural beauty with luxury.

For those looking to stay active, the Wellness Center will provide a state-of-the-art space for fitness and wellness, featuring cardio and weightlifting equipment, as well as areas for yoga and meditation. The new sports courts — including tennis, pickleball, and basketball — will round out the offerings, alongside scenic parks, playgrounds, and biking paths.

Farm-To-Table

 The Farm will offer residents access to a wide variety of fresh produce. Expect seasonal harvests of beets, broccoli, carrots, okra, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and more, along with fruit trees yielding figs, pears, blueberries, and blackberries. Already in the ground and preparing for their spring debut are potatoes and onions — just the beginning of the abundant farm-fresh offerings to come.

Residents will be able to participate in our simple Farm Share program through the Farm Store. For those looking for a more hands-on experience, the U-Pick Orchard will provide opportunities to harvest select fruits and vegetables directly from our fields.

Planting Roots Together

Beyond fresh food, The Farm will offer immersive experiences led by Agrihood Director Christopher Burtt. Residents can look forward to farm tours, workshops on sustainable gardening, and volunteer days that foster deeper connections to the land. As Christopher puts it, “This is more than just a farm — it’s a way for the community to connect with their food, their neighbors, and the land in a meaningful way.”

Healthy Connections

The Lakehouse and Wellness Center are where we will be hosting social gatherings, wellness programs, and hands-on activities. From fitness classes at the Wellness Center to educational workshops planned by Haiven, there will always be something happening to bring residents together. We will continue our wildly popular outdoor events like Fourth Friday’s Farmers Markets as they improve with a new, lively Agrihood backdrop.
