Fitness With A Cause at Carnes Crossroads

On Saturday, September 2nd guests gathered at the Carnes Crossroads pool for a special cause. Carnes resident and Zumba Instructor, Ryoko Abbott, held an Aqua Zumba class to raise money for the upcoming St.Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer, which takes place September 23 here at Carnes Crossroads.
All of the money collected through the class is being donated to the fundraising efforts of the Carnes Crossroads St.Jude team, ” Carnes Crossroads Cruisers- Heart & Sole”. The event featured a guest instructor, a wide variety of participants, and a high-energy playlist. The event was a huge success and raised almost $200 for the kids of St.Jude!
If you were unable to attend the event but still want to contribute to this cause there are plenty of opportunities. There are multiple volunteer positions open as well as the option to donate a monetary amount. Carnes Crossroads would love for you to join our team and help to end childhood cancer!
