LowCountry Women’s Specialists Opens at Carnes Crossroads
October 16th, 2019
Lowcountry Women’s Specialists has opened their third location right here at Carnes Crossroads. The privately-run, independently-owned OBGYN practice opened October 14, 2019 at 1801 2nd Avenue to better serve their patients and the growing population in the Lowcountry. The office is located just down the road from Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital, where the practice offers labor and delivery. All eight doctors at Lowcountry Women’s Specialists – Dr. Christopher Accetta, Dr. Martha Cohen, Dr. Jennifer Heinemann, Dr. Christine Hunter, Dr. Ronnie Givens, Dr. William “Bo” Reeves, Dr. Heather Schwartzberg, and Dr. Hunter Smith – will rotate through the Carnes Crossroads location to serve patients living in the area.
Serving the region for more than 30 years, Lowcountry Women’s Specialists has been voted Best OBGYN by readers of The Post and Courier, The Summerville Journal Scene and The Berkeley Independent for consecutive years.
Responding to the changing needs of patients and introducing the latest proven technologies and practices while maintaining a family-like atmosphere is a priority for the practice. Many of the doctors and staff live in the Summerville area, and they are deeply connected and dedicated to the community.
The practice invites patients and the community to join them for a Grand Opening Celebration on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 5 – 6:30 pm. Goose Creek Mayor Gregory Habib will join the doctors for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 5 pm. Light refreshments will be served, many of which will be provided by Carnes Crossroads neighbors like Small Cakes and The Grill at Windmill Station. Tours will be offered, and there will be gift bags for guests.
A warm welcome to Lowcountry Women’s Specialists!
