Our Agrihood Is Blooming with New Amenities
December 9th, 2024
The Post and Courier recently highlighted some exciting updates about Carnes Crossroads in their December 7th article:
“A Goose Creek community will soon have an amenity center to enhance its unique niche. A year ago, Freehold Communities — a developer of Carnes Crossroads — broke ground on an 11-acre agrihood that, upon completion, professional farmers will tend to and harvest to provide fresh produce for residents. Now, locally based Hill Construction is underway on an accompanying 14-acre amenity center that will include a barn to pick up monthly farm share and local goods curated for residents. It also will feature an indoor community space, a playground, pool and multiple fitness offerings. The Lake House at the heart of the project will be fitted with a kitchenette, couches, dining tables of varying sizes and separate rooms where residents can gather for group events, morning coffee or remote work options. Outside, a resort-style community pool will be outfitted with a water slide and a wellness center. Nearby, pickleball, tennis and basketball courts will be built, along with a playground.”
