A modern senior living experience is making its way to Carnes Crossroads, offering a new tradition in senior care to our community. Groundbreaking on The Blake at Carnes Crossroads is imminent, with an early 2017 opening scheduled. A Blake Experience welcome center is expected to open near the site in the summer of 2016, and early residents will have the ability to reserve their exact unit and take advantage of move-in specials.
The 88,000 square-foot assisted living facility is being developed by Cardinal Ventures, based in Mississippi. The design features suites outfitted for comfortable, safe and enjoyable senior living. Assisted living options include both one- and two-bedroom units, and a memory support facility focusing on Alzheimer’s and Dementia care will feature both studio and one-bedroom units.
“We chose this Summerville location for many reasons,” says Harrison Young of Cardinal Ventures, the architect and developer of The Blake at Carnes Crossroads. “Summerville was listed in the Top 25 Places to Retire by CNN Money due to its affordability and medical centers and Carnes Crossroads, where The Blake will be located, is a master planned community developed by the Daniel Island Company that will offer medical offices, shops, restaurants, parks, a school, and a church. It was a perfect fit.”
Blake Management Group operates other Blake senior living communities in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, with the goal of providing the best care in every market they serve. They are staffed by a Registered Nurse 24-hours a day, seven days a week, and also offer an upscale restaurant-style dining experience with highly trained chefs.
Management of the Blake assisted living facilities is deeply rooted in hospitality, and the lives of its residents are enriched by a priority on resident services and an environment that both promotes healthy living. The company uses a “concierge approach” for wellness, partnering with healthcare networks to create a comprehensive wellness program.
