Three Times A Charm For Number One (Again) Charleston, SC

We don’t have to be reminded of how many great things there are about being part of the Charleston region, but every once in a while something happens that causes us to pause and say, “Wow, we live here!” Today’s announcement that Charleston has once again been named the #1 City in the U.S. in Condé Nast Traveler magazine’s 26th annual Readers’ Choice Awards is one of those moments.
For the third consecutive year, Charleston out-scored all other U.S. cities in the categories of Culture, Friendliness, Atmosphere, Restaurants, Lodging and Shopping, making it the country’s top destination. To celebrate, the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau has produced a gorgeous video that shows off Charleston’s beauty and style. This year, they commissioned an original song titled “Charleston: Three Ways,” which is performed in the video by Charleston resident and former American Idol contestant Elise Testate.
