Carnes Crossroads Spreads Holiday Joy To Local Children in Need!
December 31st, 2019
Many students at College Park Middle School received a welcome holiday surprise on Monday, December 16 when the Carnes Crossroads Information Center staff delivered more than 85 wrapped gifts for children who might not otherwise have experienced the joys of the season. The generous donations were part of an “Angel Tree” initiative organized by the Carnes Crossroads Information Center and Carnes Crossroads Property Owners’ Association.
Twenty-eight families at Carnes Crossroads rallied for this special cause by choosing a child to sponsor and purchasing holiday gifts. Through their generosity, 26 local children in need enjoyed a holiday surprise they may not soon forget.
This was the first year our community partnered with College Park Middle School for an Angel Tree effort, and there has been overwhelmingly positive feedback about the experience from the residents who participated, the staff at College Park and the gift recipients themselves.
We hope this becomes another cherished tradition at Carnes Crossroads, which is truly a community that cares!
