Northwood Academy Chargers Win State Championship Title

Congratulations to our very own Northwood Academy Chargers, who just captured the SCISA Class 2A State Championship title! Undefeated for the season, the team faced Florence Christian on Saturday, November 22 in Columbia in a close game. A 14-yard touchdown run with 57 seconds left gave the Chargers a 33-27 come-from-behind victory to capture the title.
The State Championship title is the end of an exciting fall for the Chargers, who adopted their brand new home field at Carnes Crosroads at the beginning of the season. The new athletic facility, located on the Northwood Assembly campus at Carnes Crossroads, is the first step towards Northwood Academy relocating its private school (K-12) to our community.
